Here’s how to balance your job at work and online side hustles. Here are some top tips.

1. Make sure you have a good plan.

Planned events can still go awry. You’ll be even more at risk if there is no planning. Your chances of success are going to be extremely low!

If you want to achieve your goals, then it’s best to set both short-term and long-term ones. To achieve your short term goals, plan your week and your month. You can think of long-term goals by imagining where your side business will be in 5 or 3 years. Will you still be working by then, or will you leave it? Then make that your goal.

Every milestone that you reach, treat yourself. Remember, working on your own side project while also having a job is not an easy task.

2. The key is time management

You may be exhausted by the time you finish your full-time work and side hustle. You can make it work. All you need is to learn how to organize your time.

As an example, say you’re working 9am-5pm. You could work side jobs before or even after the shift. Your side business could be from 5:30pm – 10:30pm. Then, on the weekends, you could work full-time on your side venture.

3. Learning to sacrifice is a good thing

Don’t worry, it won’t be easy. On your free days, you may have to give up some of your favourite activities. You may have spent your weekends watching Netflix binges with your friends or going out to parties. If you want to avoid becoming a complete bore you will need to reduce your fun activities and work on your side gig.

4. Extra income can be saved

It’s your money. You can spend it however you wish. To feel that you are doing good in your life and saving up your earnings from your part-time job is the best way to do it. You can make your income work for you by investing it in a range of financial instruments, such as bonds and stocks.
